Real estate, Deal of the Week

The one fact that changes what you should do right now: demand held up even as supply fell. The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 253 homes sold across Deal of the Week in the three months ending July 31, 2026. That is up 34.6% from the same months a year before. At the same time, homes for sale dropped 24.5% to just 302. More buyers, fewer choices.

Freddie Mac put the average 30-year fixed rate at 7.28% on October 1, 2026. That is not a small number. Realtor.com noted rates crossed 7% in late September for the first time since January 2025. Yet buyers in Deal of the Week kept moving. That tells you something real about local demand.

New listings across all four ZIP codes came in at 312, up just 3.3% from a year ago, according to the Real Estate Data Aggregator. Fresh supply is trickling in, not flooding. Pending sales reached 251, up 9.6%. Buyers are still writing offers.

What the rate picture means here

Nationally, Realtor.com reported homes under contract were down 4.1% year over year in September 2026. CNBC noted weekly mortgage demand dropped 6%, citing the Mortgage Bankers Association. Deal of the Week bucked that trend. Local pending sales were up 9.6%.

Freddie Mac also reported the 15-year fixed rate at 6.60% on October 1, 2026. Some buyers use that route. Either way, rates are not small. Price your home clearly, and buyers who are ready will still act.

In short
  1. Deal of the Week sold more homes even as fewer were available, and even as Freddie Mac put the 30-year rate at 7.28% on October 1, 2026. Prices moved differently in each ZIP.
  2. Some dipped a little, one rose 16.3%.
  3. Speed varied too: 48 days in 76655, 74 in 76692 and 76691. The market is real, just not the same on every street.
