The tightest part of Deal of the Week is also one of the busiest
Redfin reported that U.S. home sellers outnumbered buyers by 62.6% in September. That is the national picture. It is not the whole story in Deal of the Week.
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted homes sold, supply, and speed across four ZIP codes here for the three months ending August 31, 2026. The numbers split sharply by ZIP code. One part of Deal of the Week is moving fast. Another is sitting longer. Your next move depends on which side you are on.
The national backdrop
Redfin counted 1,510,784 home sellers in the U.S. in September, the most since March 2020. It counted only 928,892 buyers, the lowest since 2013. Freddie Mac put the 30-year fixed rate at 7.40% as of October 15, 2026. That rate is pushing monthly payments up. Realtor.com reported a typical U.S. listing price of $415,000 for the week ending October 10, 2026, with homes sitting a median of 61 days.
That is the national pressure. Now look at what the Real Estate Data Aggregator found here.
ZIP 76691: the tightest and one of the busiest
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted just 20 homes for sale in ZIP 76691 in the three months ending August 31, 2026. That is down 45.9% from the same months of 2025. Supply fell to 2.6 months. That is lean. Pending sales rose 50% year over year, to 21. Nearly 43 in 100 homes went under contract within two weeks of listing.
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 24 homes sold in 76691 in that period, up 140% from the same months of 2025. The median sale price held at $247,500, unchanged from a year before. Homes averaged 96 days on market, 3 days longer than a year ago. Not every home sold fast. But the ones that were priced right moved quickly. Nearly 8 in 100 sold above list price, up 8.3 points year over year.
ZIP 76705: fast and rising
The Real Estate Data Aggregator counted 73 homes sold in ZIP 76705 in the three months ending August 31, 2026. That is up 40.4% from a year before. The median sale price rose 5.5% to $247,500. Homes for sale fell 18.8%. Supply sat at 4.4 months, down 3.1 months from last year.
